Local Charities Receive Grants from 2023 Sugar Plum Market

The Fort Bend Junior Service League, along with title sponsor Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, celebrated the success of this year’s Sugar Plum Market raising $332,000 at a check presentation in early December.  A total of 29 local charities received grants from the funds. These funds would not have been possible without the support of generous sponsors, patrons, and of course, the volunteers that run the Market. The Fort Bend Junior Service League would especially like to thank Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital for being our title sponsor, Momentum BMW for being our valet sponsor, Roadrunner Moving and Storage for sponsoring our new Santa Photos, as well as AlphaGraphics, Silt Solutions, Pierce Built Homes, Trustmark National Bank and The Audra O’Neal Team for being top sponsors.

The 29 local charities that were awarded event beneficiary grants were: Access Health, Arc of Fort Bend County, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston, Brazos Bend Guardianship, Catholic Charities, Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Clothes By Faith, College Community Career, East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Family to Family Adoptions, Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center, Fort Bend Women’s Center, Fort Bend History Association, Fort Bend Hope, Fort Bend Rainbow Room, Fort Bend Seniors, Gigi’s Playhouse, God’s Garden, Hope for Three, Hope Fort Bend Clubhouse, Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land, Katy ARTreach, Literacy Council of Fort Bend County, Parks Youth Ranch, Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship, San Jose Clinic, Sole Loved, Texana Center, and the FBJSL Community Assistance Fund. The Community Assistance Fund allows the remaining Sugar Plum Market proceeds to continue helping our local nonprofits with smaller or emergency grant needs throughout the year.
